Wow, I've been neglecting this thing. SO much has happened these last couple of months and so much is still to come! Let's see...I've graduated from nursing school and have been licensed as a registered nurse, went to and was in a couple of weddings (one for my wonderful sister), bachelorette parties, visited friends, roadtripped across the country to our new home in New York, and the list goes on. Times are a changing and I am definitely loving where we are in our lives.

I am so happy that nursing school is over and that I am officially a nurse (although, I am still waiting for my license to transfer to New York so I can actually start practicing!). I am now able to chose my activities and spend my time doing things that I have been neglecting like reading, decorating, exercising, cooking, baking, exploring, and hanging out with my love. Let me tell you--it is AMAZING. I love learning and I love nursing, but I am definitely ready for the freedom! Now, I just have to find a job.

The latest and greatest happening for us has been our move across the country. We have recently relocated to New York and are loving every minute of it. To get here, we decided it would be exciting and adventurous to roadtrip and see as much as we could see on our way. We started in California and drove about 5,000 miles in 15 days through Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Tenneessee, North Carolina, Virginia, Washington D.C., Deleware, New Jersey, & New York. We saw beautiful things and our eyes were opened to the wonderful variety of landscape that spreads across our continent. We saw things like meteor craters, landscape art, slide rocks, lightening storms, starry nights, lush forests, and friends along the way. Considering we are both foodies, we ate the bests of foods in every state we visited. We ate things like biscuits and gravy (which we can rarely find veg friendly), street truck tacos, veg chili fries and dogs (the Mr.'s favorite), falafels, cream puffs, etc. We camped and went to bed and woke up to the most beautiful of symphonys from the native insects and animals. This was such a memorable experience and it is a trip that neither of us will ever forget. We learned, explored, laughed, cried, sang, screamed, joked, discussed, and so on. Although we are happy to have arrived to our new home, we are looking forward to our eventual move back to the west coast and the roadtrip across the northern states. This is a trip that we would recommend to anyone. If you live in the US, you have no excuse & you must explore outside of your home state to see what this beautiful country's land is made of.
Here are some images of some wedding festivities, visits, etc.:

Now that we are mostly settled in, I will be a bit more present on this thing. I look forward to keeping a record of the happenings and events that this journey in New York bring us. It's good to be back.
