What a weekend!

This past week/weekend was AMAZING! Not only did I get to spend time with my wonderful fiance, I also got to hang out with my best girl friends. We got together to celebrate Nicole's 22nd birthday-- which was full of laughter, jokes, dancing, reminiscing, etc. I had such a great time with them and I really love every minute we are together.
Pat and I didn't get to spend as much time together as we had planned. He was on spring break, but I was still loaded with a full schedule. I had school on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday-- and work on Wednesday and Thursday. We tried to make the most of every minute together! We finished up most of our registries this weekend. We went down and met with our potential florist. She was so great and was really informative. Pat and I left knowing that much more about plants and flowers and are really hoping that she'll "be the one"!
We also got to celebrate family/friend Joseph Fogal's birthday on Sunday morning. It was great to see and hang out with him and everyone involved in his life. Happy birthday Joe!

While perusing the wedding blog world this weekend, I came across this bride's wonderful hair-do. It is so classy and simple, and I just adore the wave of her bangs.

Also, my sister sent me a picture of my nephew this weekend and I almost died when I saw it. He is the most precious little Michelin man I have ever seen and I can't stop looking at it. I love him and every one of his rolls.

Hope you all have a great week -- Keep your head up!

This week...!

Pat came home today! He is currently on his way to my apartment and I couldn't be more thrilled! I love every second I get to spend with this man. He is bringing up our "save-the-dates" and we are going to get them addressed and sent out by the end of this week! We are slacking just a little bit! Here's a "not so focused" picture of them!

This past weekend, my mom and I went out on our never ending hunt for bridesmaids dresses. Luckily, we actually found one that we really liked! So now, we have two runner ups... However, we are going to continue on our hunt just to make sure that we find the perfect one. The first image below is the dress we ordered off an online website. The second image is the dress that we just found over this past weekend. I like them both, but I think I am leaning more towards one at the moment. It's an outdoor venue, so I feel that the dresses should be a bit more casual.

Anyways, I can't wait to spend this wonderful week with my fiance, friends, and family! Have a great, rainy week!

Trust in Him

This weekend was a crazy one. Pat came down again for his hockey tournament in Corona. Pat and Devon were both in the tournament and actually played each other twice. In the end, Cal ended up winning the tournament! Go Bears! However, over this past week and weekend there were some events that took place that were not so joyous. Two of my friends had a close family member pass away and it was really tough for everyone. It was a weekend full of support and unanswered questions. As a believer, death is something that we can never fully understand and sometimes it is hard to accept that things happen for a reason. Sometimes it is hard to trust that God has a plan and that everything is under control when things seem to be spinning out all around you. In the end, God does have a plan and we need to trust this, even though it may not be our idea of what should happen.

On a happier note, Pat and I got to register yesterday at Crate and Barrel for our future home. It was so much fun and I enjoyed every second of it. It is crazy that we are shopping for a place that we will live in TOGETHER. Wow. I love saying that. We registered for all sorts of household things and had to decide between the white this and the wood that. We had such a good time together and I am so lucky that I have a man with great taste! Well of course, I think it is great taste--but who knows, maybe we both have an odd taste in house ware. :) Pat is coming back down again in a week for his Spring Break and we will finish up our registering at one other place. I can't wait!

My mom told me today that our "save-the-dates" came in the mail-- so I will be home with her writing out addresses all weekend! I love spending time with my mom, she is such a  kook and makes any situation enjoyable. I can't wait to hang out with her and get these things sent out!

I'll leave you with a picture from our engagement shot... I will put more up later on!
Have a great week!
