spring break lovin'.

Sooo, this spring break was (and still is) definitely needed. My brain was about to explode with the excessive workload from school. I am just starting to relax--and before I know it, I will be back in the grind. Anyways, my sister and nephew came home from New York this past Saturday to visit. Daniel joined them later in the week, and it was so great to see them all. As always, their stay was way too short for us! Bryden is a stud and is definitely going to be a little heart breaker when he is older. This is him on the way home from the airport.
Last Sunday, my sisters threw a bridal shower for me. It was so much fun and I am so thankful for all of the time my family, along with some friends, put into it. It was beautiful and they did such a great job with the decorations, food, etc. I got to see so many wonderful friends and got to share the exciting time with them. We ate, drank, played silly games, laughed, etc. Although I was uncomfortable with the attention at times, I really enjoyed the shower and am so grateful for the love and support that was shown. About three more months to go until I am Mrs. Kolyouthapong!
This is a photo of the precious pictures that my mom put together of Pat and I. Also, the food was so delicious...my family should start their own catering service! We had fresh fruit skewers with Greek yogurt and agave dip; mini pocket sandwiches with hummus, tomato, cucumber, avocado, spinach, and sprouts; french loaf sandwiches with apple, brie, arugula, and balsamic; etc. My mouth is watering just thinking of the wonderful food they put together.
This is a picture of us all sitting around while gifts were being opened.
Another exciting thing happened this past weekend...Summer (my sister) got engaged! Patrick (her fiance) had been planning it for months and proposed to her at the Mission in San Juan Capistrano with a newly designed ring that held an old family diamond. It is beautiful, and they are such an amazing couple. I can't wait to talk wedding with them!
Congrats Summer and Patrick!
-Have a great week everyone-

Flea finds.

So today, I went to the Pasadena Rosebowl Flea Market with a couple of girl friends. It was such a nice day--so nice that I actually got a sun burn without even knowing it! We began our day early and got lost weaving in and out of the endless isles. I went with a mission in mind: to find decorations, materials, etc for our wedding coming up in August. At the end of the day, I left feeling accomplished, as I found a couple of things that go along great with our wedding color scheme, style, etc. As of now, most of the things I found today will be a part of the centerpieces for the reception. They will be filled with succulents of all different colors, shapes, and sizes. The best part is--I got everything for under twenty dollars!

Here is a picture of the old coffee canister, terrarium, and six yellow-tinted glass bowls.

This is the green, vintage coffee canister that I couldn't resist. I got this gem down to seven dollars and I know it will definitely be used in our house after the wedding to store something special!

Here are the terrariums that were a deal and a half--I got all four for six dollars! I can't wait to fill them up with tiny little succulents.
These are the cutest little yellow bowls. Despite the picture, they are actually quite small, and will be a perfect home for the succulents. These were fifty cents a piece--steal!
Overall, the day was a success and I had so much fun with my girls, in the sun, doing some deal shopping! Only four more months until the wedding! Waahhooo!

Registering rant!

So Pat and I have just about finished registering for our wedding. We chose Crate and Barrel, CB2, and Bed Bath and Beyond. It was so hard just to pick a couple places, as we have found so many unique things at different stores all over. It was so much fun-- and we are one step closer to living together! Or at least having some stuff that will make it a little easier! I can't believe that we only have four more months until we can put it all to use!

This month is so crazy will school overload, wedding planning, and visits from friends and family. I can't wait till after the 11th of this month, as my last large paper will be turned in and it should be smooth sailing until finals. My sister and nephew are coming home the 16th and I am beyond excited! They are here till the 26th, and I hope to spend as much time as possible with them. Unfortunately, Daniel won't be able to make it out here, but I hope to see him soon.

I was looking through old pictures on my computer and came across these gems...

This was taken circa 2007 in Thailand of Pat and I.
This was taken of Chelsea, Nicole, Caressa, and I on our graduation in 2007 from high school.
This was taken circa 2008 of Summer, Chelsea, and I in Vegas.
Last but not least, my mom, Chelsea, Summer, and I at Niagara Falls circa 2009.

I love looking at old pictures, especially when you find ones and you think-- "What was I thinking?"
Anyways, have a great rest of the weekend!
