Life through the iPhone lens.

We have actually been quite busy here since we have arrived. Over the past couple of weeks, we went camping with the F's in the Catskills for two nights, which was beautiful. It was our nephew's first camping trip and despite his many tumbles in our rocky campsite, he seemed to really enjoy it and did quite well sleeping in a tent--he is a natural! We have already had some friends and family visit us as well. We were able to explore and go to a lot of the tourist attractions (which we wanted to do again since we're living here now) and visit places that we may not have been able to get to for a while. It was such a great week with them here and we are looking forward to more visits from family and friends. As always, we have been exploring the wonderful food options NY has to offer as well as baking and cooking some of our own. Let's just say it has been a delicious experience and we look forward to trying more! Here are some pictures of what's been going on around here from my iPhone.

Camping in the Catskills with the F family.

 Our apartment on move-in day.

P tending to one of his favorite parts of our home--the bookshelf.

P and Nick in Prospect Park.

Jenny, Kristica, and me in Prospect Park.

We ate this delicious pizza from Pizza Plus on the roof on our first night in our place.

 The view from our roof.

Happy hour craziness with the F family.

A pistachio doughnut from Doughnut Plant in the city.

 Coney Island with the friends.

Visiting the World Trade Center on September 11.

The city from across the water.

Had to beat the heat with homemade popsicles.

Made my mom's famous cookies to feel a little closer to her.

Watched Clueless in the park with the city skyline as the backdrop--breathtaking!

Indulged in some frozen hot chocolate from Serendipity 3.

Hung out with this little munchkin.

Although we have our moments of panic and feeling home sick, we are having such a good time out here and can't wait to see what this city teaches us.
