So, last weekend Pat and I were able to head up to the bay area for many reasons... One, it was a much needed vacation. But also, we were there because Pat's hockey team (which my brother plays on) had a tournament in San Jose. We drove up after my clinical on a Thursday and went straight to Berkeley. We ate dinner and visited with some friends there. We had a great time and then headed over to San Francisco to visit with Pat's sister. We were able to see the apartment that she will be living in for four years during her journey through pharmacy school--it was so cute! Friday morning, we went and had lunch with one of Pat's old professors in Berkeley and then walked around in the sun for a bit. Headed back over to San Fran for his sister's white coat ceremony and then left for Santa Cruz. There, we visited with some friends and had a blast. We talked, played video games, and just laughed like we did in high school. It was so great to see them. Saturday was filled with hockey games and Sunday we drove home and visited Nicole is San Luis Obispo. Here new apartment is adorable and I am so excited for what she is doing in her life right now. Overall, the weekend was pretty busy, but it was all worth it because we were able to spend time together seeing friends and family.
Love you Nicki!
This coming week ends my Psychiatric rotation and begins my rehab semester. I really enjoyed psyc and feel that it it definitely an area of nursing that has caught my interest.
Today, I got called off of work--thank the Lord! Pat and I went on a walk this morning and have many things planned for the rest of the day. Of course, I will have to study sometime but I am so blessed to have a free day.
Lastly, my beautiful friend Jessica, is getting married in June and I was asked to be a bridesmaid! I am SO excited and I can't wait to support her through this crazy, exciting journey. Love you JP--you will be such a beautiful bride!
Have a nice Saturday--go enjoy the sun!
XO
